Well I can't say I have a lot blooming right now since it's been
raining on and off for the last 2 weeks and a bit chilly.  We've
had our first frost about 2 weeks ago.


So I guess I can show you plants that I grow indoors during the cold
season.  Cape Primrose (Streptocarpus)

Grow Lights

I have noticed this year with using a more powerful grow lights
my blooming plants are blooming indoors better than ever.
I use the T5 sunblasters lighting tubes.

Miniature Roses

This cute little miniature Orchid is in bloom

Cape Primrose

Crown of Thorns

and Rex Begonias are blooming indoors for the first time since I had them.

Hello all, thank you for the nice thoughts while I was in absence
I was surprised to hear my blog was nominated for the best garden
blog of Illinois, from Blotanicals,
though I did not win it was flattering to be even thought of. 
My mom Carolyn of Sweet Home and Garden
was nominated too, but Garden Girl won and she deserves it,
Congrats Linda!

I did another bridal expo show just this past Sunday here are

A Time of Grieving

If  I don't respond to anyone's comments for a short time please forgive
me,  we just lost my father-in-law last week and it was really a shock.
I will return shortly it's just a time of grieving for our family.

My Desert Rose is blooming again for the 3rd time since summer started.
Even after bringing it indoors for the last 2 weeks it still managed to bloom.
